The Kodys, Cozy In-Home Session
Greensboro, North Carolina
A little pure joy for your day.
The moment I pulled out my camera, this little guy right here was all smiles. There was so much joy and energy in the room and I was just so happy to be part of it, all fifteen glorious minutes of it.
Looking back on this shoot, it makes me feel a few things: 1. Grateful these kiddos have each other during this time; their own live-in playmates. 2. Makes me miss my pals so much. Can’t wait to hug them again. 3. I am oh, so thankful to have my husband and a home to live in through this current climate. I would lose my mind if I didn’t have him around.
As of now, my shoots have been postponed through May and will most likely seep into the summer months. But when this all passes, I’m so ready to be back with families, documenting their lives.
When the time comes for booking photo sessions again, here are a couple little notes. You don’t always know who will be in good spirits or who just doesn’t seem to want a photo shoot during what they thought would be an afternoon of playing outside. When I book in-home sessions with families I let the parents know in advance that I’ll be there to photograph their life as a family. If hanging on the couch isn’t the vibe of the day, we’ll go outside and run around or have a little picnic on the front stoop. Whatever the day has for you and your family, I’m here for it. As we all know, life can be unpredictable, which makes it all the more precious to document.
