2021, a Wild Ride

We can’t believe we started this whole adventure a year ago. This time last year we were packing up our things in Asheville and only dreaming of what was to come. We’ve been on the road for 7 months now and it’s come with all sorts of stories. Building out the bus and creating “Dilly Gene Queen” was one of the hardest things we’ve ever done, and yet somehow one of the easiest. We worked six days a week til the sun set for three and a half months. Lots of sweat and a few tears to create our home. 2021 was the year for us to live out this dream. It brought us closer to each other and gave us new perspectives on truly soaking in life’s little pleasures.

When we trekked out officially in June we didn’t know what was ahead of us. We visited 28 states, 8 National Parks, 15+ Walmart overnights, lots of breweries, even more coffee shops, took 100+ Polaroids, made new friends and ate many bowls of ramen. We know this adventure in our life is such a special one and we can’t wait to look back on all this 40 years from now and say, “wow, we were just a couple of crazy kids.”
